Updates Of My Little Gal

Hooray! Our prayers had been answered and our little gal had been caught in the morning on 29 May 2009..

As she did struggle when she was caught, she had some abrasions on her neck.. I was at work so, i had to leave her at the shelter for a night.. Firstly, i couldnt get off.. Secondly and most importantly is that i did not want to leave her alone at home after fetching her.. Her daddy was hospitalised too, thus i was like going crazy, worrying for both of them and also my older gal at home..

So on the 30 May 2009, i went down to the shelter to meet with all the kind hearted people who had help Bao Bao or us in one way or another and also to reunite with her.. Brought her to see a vet at Allpets Clinic Alycia & Anderson (Our driver for the day ).. Not her usual family vet coz was thinking to see if other vet is better.. But just felt that it is yi fen qian yi fen huo.. Coz although vet fee may be a bit ex by abt $20-$50, her usual vet & staffs at Mt Pleasant Animal Hospital seems better.. Just my own opinion and feeling.. Coz i had to actually ask for medicine for my gal and for a copy of her test results.. Another thing was i ask for a full body check up and what i got was no full body check up.. How i know.. Coz i called up the clinic when i reach home and ask how come i wasnt told of the result whether my gal is pregnant or not and the nurse who answer the call told me no blood was sent for pregnancy test.. Yikes! When i did inform the receptionist nurse and the vet again in the consultation room that i wanted a full body check up coz my gal was out for 4 mths no one knows what had happen in that 4mths.. I was so angry.. Coz i heard negative opinions abt my usual vet and tot may be the opinions were true.. But Mt pleasant was in a way better than Allpets in my own opinion.. Coz when i ask the nurse on the phone what signs should i look out for if my gal is unfortunately pregnant, guess the answer i got back really makes me wonder.. Coz the nurse actually told me that she is not sure and has to give me a call back after asking the vet.. Piangz.. I really wanted to faint at that moment..

So i was fed up and begin to be very worry for my little gal.. I make a call to Mt Pleasant right after i got off the phone with that nurse.. The receptionist at Mt Pleasant answer all my queries without having me to wait for her to ask the vet and get back to me.. She was very knowledgable and ease my worries a bit.. After ending the call, i got a call back from the previous nurse who say "look out for swell belly and enlarge nipples, that's the sign of pregnacy'.. I really wanted to faint, coz if by the time i notice the swell belly, it's already how long into the pregnancy le..

There are different stages of pregnancy just like as humans.. So i just didnt want to jeopardise my gal just in case she is pregnant and the sooner i know the better i can cope.. But thank god she wasnt and is still a lady..

This experience makes me regret and blame myself thru'out this 1mth that why did i have to change a vet at that critical time.. So yes, i would not change vet again anymore.. Coz one of the negative opinion i heard was 'Mt Pleasant is the worst animal clinic in s'pore'.. If this opinion to the person who spoke this to me, must not have gone to Allpets, coz the service really sucks..

Yes, i agree that the fees may be a bit ex.. But at least i will be ask if i had frontline or interceptor or do i need a deworm tablets for my gal at the Mt Pleasant.. I was the one asking for frontline at Allpets, when i did make myself clear to the vet that i needed that as i didnt have it at home and the vet reassured me that all medicines will be given to me, which wasnt the case.. Haiz..

When i found a tick on her at the clinic, i ask the vet to help me at least check if there's any others, she say ok.. But the nurse did a check less than 5mins and return her to me and say my little gal is ok, there wasnt any ticks.. I didnt believe her, the reason less than 5mins check and return her to me, means very chin cai check.. Guess what, once i got her back, i did and find but rather see a tick near her nipple.. *BangHead* When i brought her to the vet to ask her to had the tick remove, i question why the nurse just check she missed this tick.. The vet gave me a very simple answer, "even if we check her for an hr, we will still miss some ticks".. I know not all ticks can be found but the one near the nipple, surely cant be missed ba, naked eyes also can see lor..

Gave up, reach home, i found a bigger tick on her spine, Big Fat White Tick, like a raisin.. Haiz.. Another reason why i will never change vet again.. Coz her usual vet will at least check or ask another nurse to help check for ticks in front of me instead of asking me to leave the room while they check (At Allpets that's what i was told to do ).. Coz the usual vet always stress that tick must be fully remove so as to minimise infections..

Back to my gal, she had a slight bruise on her left eye as she gained that by struggling with the catcher and hit the pole.. Which clear up by the 3rd day.. Her eyesight is as gd as before, so no harm done.. Her abrasion on her neck also healed by the end of the week..

She had some runny stool, which could be due to the sudden change of food.. Coz after a while, her poo became normal again.. Stinks like hell..



Lately, i had been thinking to bring my little gal back to Mt Pleasant for another check up just in case..
